Walking Bear Singers

The Walking Bear Singers are a respected Southern-style powwow drum group based in New England. Founded in 1988, they bring the songs and voices of the Southern Plains to Northeast communities. Their music honors traditions from the Ponca, Kiowa, Omaha, Pawnee, and Osage nations. Known for authenticity, they preserve and share Southern-style powwow singing at gatherings and cultural events.
